The curriculum at the CAD Center is organized around the completion of three
sequential courses in Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD). These courses are
classified as: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced, forming a comprehensive
training sequence.

CAD 100
Beginning AutoCAD (AutoCAD I)
4 Quarter Cr. Hrs.
This course
provides an introduction to computer aided drafting, where students
learn basic drawing and drafting techniques, editing commands,
coordinate entry methods, object snap techniques, display manipulation,
automatic editing and text entry.
Prerequisite: None

CAD 200 / CAD 202 / CAD 205 / CAD 208 / CAD 211
CAD 200
Intermediate AutoCAD (AutoCAD II)
4 Quarter Cr. Hrs.
This course
provides practical applications designed to utilize and extend
applications and operations learned in CAD 100. Completion of drawings
by plan, orthographic section, and auxiliary view techniques are
developed.
Prerequisite: CAD 100 Beginning AutoCAD

Advanced AutoCAD (AutoCAD III)
4 Quarter Cr. Hrs.
This course
provides the important concepts necessary to draw in 3-D and will apply
these concepts to a variety of drawing and design projects. This course
provides for the development and implementation of creative and
effective skills in the use of computers for employment in areas such as
architecture, engineering, and the construction industries to meet the
needs of today’s job market.
Prerequisite: CAD 200 Intermediate
AutoCAD II
